Information & FAQs
About our mallows
Every batch of our Luxury Mallow is made in our home kitchen. Each piece of marshmallow heaven is handcut by ourselves so you won't find any two pieces to be exactly the same size. Once cut, our marshmallows are tossed in a blend of icing sugar and cornflour, dried and then hand picked and weighed before being sealed in an airtight bag.
Our gourmet flavours are inspired by our family's favourite desserts, cakes and alcoholic tipples. We love creating new flavours so drop by often to catch up with our latest flavours. You won't find us cutting corners on taste with our gourmet marshmallows, only the very best ingredients are selected and used.
Are your marshmallows gluten free ?
All our marshmallows themselves are gluten free. Whenever we sell a product which contains gluten (for example, when we might add a biscuit crumb topping) this is indicated on the individual product details.
Are your marshmallows dairy free ?
You will find dairy in our Lemon Meringue and any of our mallows containing chocolate.
Do any of your mallows contain egg ?
Egg white is used in our Eton Mess and Lemon Meringue mallows to form the meringue; there is also egg in the lemon curd ingredient of our Lemon Meringue.
Are your marshmallows suitable for vegetarians ?
Our mallows contain beef gelatine and are not therefore suitable for vegetarians. We are currently working on a vegan marshmallow recipe but we are not yet happy enough with the results to release it - spot on for flavours but the textures need tweaking a little more.
Apart from your products which contain nuts, what about traces of nuts elsewhere ?
Our Luxury Mallows are made in our home kitchen where nuts are used. Whilst every step is taken to limit any cross contamination from nuts (we only use nuts at then end of a mallow making session, follow a strict cleaning regime and maintain separate utensils and sieves) we cannot say our mallows are made in a nut free environment and therefore our mallows may contain traces of nuts.
What about preservatives ?
We don't add any preservatives to our mallows but we do use beef gelatin which contains a minute amount of sulphites.
Our Wedding Favours start at £2.25 for three marshmallows in a gift bag with a ribbon. Prices vary depending on packaging, ribbons or personalised tags. Please contact us for further details.
Dispatch and Delivery Times
Once dispatched, your order should arrive within 1 to 3 working days depending on the delivery service you requested. We do offer a next day delivery service via Royal Mail, details of which can be found here.
We usually dispatch orders from stock the same day they are received (subject to Post Office working day collection times) but on very rare occasions there could be a short delay with the dispatch of your box of goodies. This would be because we make our 'mallows fresh each week in small batches and prefer to keep our stock levels to an absolute minimum to maintain quality. If there were to be a delay with sending out your order - at the most 3 to 4 days whilst your mallows were made - we would advise you of this (by email) to check you were happy to continue.
What about delivery for special occasions ?
Certain times of the year, e.g. Mothers' day, Easter and Christmas, are very busy so we advise checking with our website and social media posts for last order dates. If you have an event or occaision, e.g. birthday or anniversary, where delivery date is critical please order in plenty of time and indicate the latest delivery date for your order - you will always receive the freshest mallows available. If necessary, contact us here prior to placing your order and we'll make sure everything goes smoothly.
Shipping Charges (Click Here For All Dispatch and Shipping Details)
How do you calculate your charges ?
Currently, Royal Mail deliver most of our mallows. Our Standard Delivery charge of £3.50 is simply the price of Royal Mail Second Class plus part of the cost for the packaging. We do not add "mark up" to the cost of delivery charges. The same principle apples to our Special Delivery Next Working Day: Royal Mail charge plus part of the packaging cost.
Do you charge extra for delivery to The Channel Islands ?
No. Using Royal Mail for small parcels allows us to pass on to customers the benefit of UK Mainland prices for island deliveries. Delivery to islands usually adds a day or so but most customers seem happy to wait a touch longer to benefit from the lower price.
Urgent/Special Delivery requirements to non-UK Mainland destinations will be more expensive - please Contact Us Here for a quotation.
